기억의 유산, (2026 AI Project)
한복의 실루엣과 군복의 구조가 만나는 지점을 탐구한 프로젝트로, 군복에 담긴 기억과 세대 간의 연결을 다룬 기존 작업 Legacy of Memory를 AI 디자인 어시스턴트(AiDA)를 활용해 재구성하였습니다.
장옷, 무복, 구군복, 조선시대 군졸의 복식에서 나타나는 한복의 실루엣과 레이어링 구조를 연구하고, 오래된 가족 앨범 속 군복의 이미지에서 영감을 얻었습니다. 한복을 그대로 가져오기보다 하이웨이스트, 풍성한 볼륨, 레이어링 등 한복의 조형적 특징을 현대 의복에 결합하여, 건축적인 형태와 구조적인 실루엣이 강조된 컬렉션으로 발전시켰습니다.
Legacy of Memory, (2026 AI Project)
This project explores the intersection of traditional Korean silhouettes and military uniform structures. Using the AI design assistant (AiDA), I revisited and reinterpreted my previous project, Legacy of Memory, which explored the memories embedded in military uniforms and their connections across generations.
Drawing inspiration from the silhouettes and layering techniques found in traditional Korean garments, including jangot, mubok, gugunbok and the uniforms of Joseon-era soldiers, the project also references military uniforms worn by family members in old family photographs.
Rather than directly reproducing traditional Korean dress, I incorporated distinctive elements of hanbok, such as high waistlines, voluminous shapes and layering, into contemporary garments, developing a collection defined by architectural forms and structured silhouettes.
